4purple.gif (523 bytes) For the Fishing Enthusiast

For the avid fisherman or just the casual enthusiast, Lincoln City provides a multitude of places to fish or crab.

Our season is:

January through March

Winter steelhead may be found on the central Oregon coastal streams.

Early May through June

Spring chinook are running and are considered quite the "catch."

September through November

Fall chinook are running in the Siletz River.

The Oregon Dungeness crab season begins on December 1st, and continues until August 15th. Over half of the annual harvest occurs during the first eight to ten weeks of the season. Harvest effort decreases in the spring as fishermen gear up for other coastal fisheries, but fresh crab continues to be available throughout the summer months. If you are interested in crabbing, please visit the front desk and we will assist you in finding the equipment and place to crab.
